Not sure what to get at the dispensary?

Walking into a dispensary without a plan can be overwhelming — hundreds of products, different strains, formats, and potencies. This free cannabis personality assessment helps you figure out what to ask for in 90 seconds.

Answer 8 questions about your goal, experience, format, and how you actually like to use cannabis. You'll get your unique Cannascope — a blended profile across seven cannabis archetypes that captures how *you* relate to cannabis, not just what you bought last time.

What should I buy at the dispensary if I want to sleep better?

Look for strains high in myrcene and linalool — these terpenes are associated with sedation and relaxation. Indica-dominant strains like Granddaddy Purple, Northern Lights, or Wedding Cake are popular for sleep. Edibles taken 1–2 hours before bed give the longest-lasting effect. Start with 5mg THC.

I'm a beginner — what cannabis product should I get?

Start with a tincture or low-dose edible (2.5–5mg THC). These are forgiving — you can dose precisely and effects come on slowly. Avoid high-THC flower or concentrates your first time. A 1:1 THC:CBD ratio is also a great starting point — CBD tempers the intensity of THC.

What's the difference between indica, sativa, and hybrid?

The indica/sativa distinction is more about marketing than science — what actually determines effects are terpenes and cannabinoid ratios. Indica-leaning strains tend to be body-focused and calming, sativa-leaning are more cerebral and energizing, hybrids fall in between. Cannascope focuses on terpene profiles, not just labels.

How is this assessment made?

Your answers are scored across seven Cannascope archetypes — Deep Sleeper, Sharpener, Social Spark, Healer, Unwinder, Explorer, Micro-Doser. Unlike a single-result quiz, your Cannascope is a blend: a primary archetype plus secondary tendencies. Two people can both lean Sleeper and still get visibly different cards.
